Built for the way you already sell

Unattended stalls have always worked on trust, and they work. Your customers already want to pay; sometimes they just don't have the cash. Vendl is for exactly those moments: a tap instead of a rummage for coins. Same stall, more ways to pay - cash, card, and the methods people already use in your region.

Every sale is logged the moment it happens, with an instant alert and live stock, so you always know what left and what came in.

What it works for

Stall QR checkout, plus pre-orders and subscriptions when you sell ahead of a collection day or run a regular box.

Unattended stalls, bake days, and recurring boxes — Vendl works.

Every way your customers want to pay

Cash, cards, Tap & Go, and wallets everywhere we operate - plus region extras like PayID and PayTo in Australia, and Cash App in the US. Buy Now, Pay Later with Zip and Klarna on larger orders. One QR, the methods that fit your country.

Where can I use Vendl?

Everywhere you run a stall. Cash works in any region. Cards, Tap & Go, and wallets follow what Stripe supports locally, and some methods are country-specific - PayID and PayTo in Australia, Cash App in the US, and more as we expand.

Missing a payment option you need? Tell us, and we'll add it when it's available for your country.

Tell regulars you're back in stock

Many times your stand will have regular customers - the same faces who know when eggs, flowers, or firewood tend to appear. When you're sold out, they leave empty-handed and may not swing by again for days.

After they pay they can tap once to get an email when that stand restocks - nothing else. You restock, hit Notify customers, and they hear you're back. You never see their addresses; Vendl sends on your behalf.

Free

Your stall, your look

Put your logo and brand colours on the public stall and QR poster - so the checkout feels like your farm, not a generic form.

Add Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, or your website. Shoppers who love what they found can follow you without hunting for a handle on a handwritten sign.

What you get

Free and Pro share every feature. The only difference is the Vendl card fee. Shoppers get a simple scan-and-pay stall.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about Vendl for anyone running an unattended stall.

Won't customers just scan and not pay?
The same reason your honesty box already works: people who stop at an unattended stall are there to pay, not to dodge. Vendl doesn't replace that trust, it backs it up. Every sale is logged the moment it happens, you get an instant alert, and stock updates in real time, so you always know what left and what came in. If anything, a QR catches the sales a cash-only tin quietly loses: the customer who'd have driven off because they had nothing smaller than a fifty.
What is Vendl?
Vendl is QR self-checkout and inventory for unattended stalls of any kind: produce, firewood, flowers, car parks and more. Shoppers scan a printed QR, pick what they're taking, and pay, while you track stock and sales from your phone.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free and Pro include every Vendl feature. Free is $0/mo with a 2.5% Vendl platform fee on card, Tap & Go and pay-later (cash and PayID stay free). Absorb that fee or pass it on at checkout. Pro is a flat monthly fee with no Vendl platform fee. Standard Stripe processing fees apply on both plans.
Does Vendl charge transaction fees?
On Free, Vendl charges a 2.5% platform fee on successful card, Tap & Go and pay-later payments. Cash and PayID do not have a Vendl fee. Standard Stripe processing fees apply separately. Vendl Pro removes the Vendl platform fee.
Are Stripe fees included in the Vendl fee?
No. Stripe charges its own payment-processing fees separately. Vendl's 2.5% Free-plan fee is an additional platform fee. Pro removes the Vendl fee, but Stripe processing fees still apply.
What payment methods can customers use?
Cash and PayID (no Vendl fee), plus card, Tap & Go, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayTo (Australia). On larger orders, customers can also use Buy Now, Pay Later with Zip or Klarna. On Free, Vendl fee is 2.5% on card, Tap & Go, pay-later and PayTo; removed on Pro. Cash and PayID are always free of Vendl fees.
What countries can I use Vendl in?
Everywhere you run a stall. Cash works in any region. Cards, Tap & Go, and wallets follow what Stripe supports locally, and some methods are country-specific - for example PayID and PayTo in Australia, or Cash App in the US. Missing a payment option you need? Contact us and we'll add it when it's available for your country.
Is there a fee on card payments?
On Free, Vendl charges 2.5% on card, Tap & Go (Apple Pay / Google Pay), and pay-later. Cash and PayID have no Vendl fee. You can absorb the Vendl fee or pass it on to customers (shown as a card fee line at checkout) in Settings → Card / Tap & Go. On Pro there is no Vendl cut. Stripe's own processing fees still apply either way (pay-later providers usually charge more than cards).
Are cash and PayID free?
Yes. Vendl does not charge a platform fee on cash payments or PayID transfers. PayID is currently available in Australia only.
Can customers pay by bank transfer / PayID?
Yes on Australian (AUD) stands. Add your PayID in stand settings and shoppers can choose Pay with PayID at checkout. They pay in their own banking app, then tap I've paid. Vendl marks the sale and updates stock. The payment is customer-confirmed, not verified by us. Money goes straight to your account.
How does QR checkout work?
You print a QR poster for each stand. On the QR setup page you choose cart type: Product cart (browse named items and stock) or Customer Choice (shoppers enter dollar amounts as they pick things up, then pay the total — no catalogue). Same payment methods either way. When paying cash they confirm at the stand and you are alerted. When paying digitally they use Stripe checkout (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and on larger orders Zip or Klarna). Stock updates on Product cart; Customer Choice is amount-only.
What is Customer Choice cart?
Customer Choice is a stall checkout mode for unattended shelves with price tags already on the goods. Shoppers scan your QR, add amounts (e.g. $10 then $5), and pay the total with cash, card, or local transfer. There is no product list or inventory. Switch it on under My Businesses → QR & print. Included on Free and Pro. Pre-orders and subscriptions are separate.
How do pre-orders work?
Mark a product as a pre-order with an order-by deadline and collection day. Customers scan your QR, choose what they want, and pay by card to reserve - money goes to your Stripe account at checkout. They get a confirmation email; you see their name and email on the order. In Collections you track who's coming by day and mark Ready, then Collected. You can show exact slots left on the stall, and message buyers from Vendl if plans change. Take-now and pre-order items need separate checkouts.
How much does it cost?
Free is $0/mo with all features; Vendl fee is 2.5% on card, Tap & Go, and pay-later (cash and PayID stay free) - absorb it or pass it on in Settings → Card / Tap & Go. Vendl Pro is $19.99 / $14.99 / £11.99 / €14.99 per month per site and removes the Vendl platform fee. Standard Stripe processing fees apply on both plans. Pick billing currency at signup or in billing settings.
Who is Vendl for?
Anyone running an unattended stall of any kind: produce, firewood, flowers, car parks and more, who needs checkout and stock tracking without staffing the stall all day.
Can shoppers see exact stock counts?
Public stock shows Availability bands (Available, Low stock, Sold out) by default. Exact counts stay private unless you choose otherwise.
Do I need special hardware?
A printer for your QR poster is enough. Customers use their own phones. Paying by card / Tap & Go needs no terminal or card reader - payments happen on the shopper's phone via Stripe Checkout.
What about cash going missing?
It happens: a tin by the road is easy to empty. Cash sales are still logged the moment a customer confirms, so your records stay right even if the box doesn't. With Tap & Go, that money lands straight in your Stripe account, with nothing left at the stand to take.
